There’s something wonderfully magical about a May wedding at Bignor Park. The formal gardens around the Greek Loggia begin waking up in March, so by May they are transformed into a glorious, verdant landscape bursting with colour and fragrance.
You can expect to see blossom, tulips, wisteria, rhododendrons and roses throughout the grounds. The sweeping South Lawn is looking lush, and leaves on the trees are a vibrant lime green.
The light is softer, the days are lengthening, and there’s a wonderful sense of anticipation in the air as life outdoors returns. Summer is just around the corner, but spring is very much in the spotlight. May is the finale of spring at its most romantic: a season of renewal, abundance and celebration. And there’s no more beautiful setting for a May wedding than at Bignor Park.
One of the many joys of a May wedding is the incredible choice of flowers naturally in season, so there’s an abundance of inspiration for beautiful bouquets and floral displays. Choosing flowers that are in season can also be a more cost-effective and sustainable approach, while helping your celebrations feel beautifully connected to the time of year.
Likewise, spring brings an abundance of delicious seasonal produce, so your menu can complement the surroundings beautifully and bring the taste of spring to your wedding table.
