The Gardens

The Dutch Garden, with its old box hedges, is predominantly blue and mauve with lavender, rosemary and buddleia and is a haven for butterflies. Two Indian running ducks guard a small goldfish pond. The old greenhouse has become a tunnel of laburnum since being planted in 1973.

Since 1996 many trees and shrubs have been planted. A row of new limes stretches westwards to the azalea garden.

Lou Clements has been the gardener since 1977.  Karen and John Robbins work on a part time basis assisting in the garden design and its implementation with Joanna Mersey.
