The House

Another view of the house built by John Hawkins at the start of the 19th Century.

In front of the house are two magnificent old oaks and a plane tree surrounded in the spring by snowdrops, crocus, and daffodils. Beyond is a view of Bignor Hill, woods and farmland. The Bignor Roman villa is just over the crest.
